Can't Even Buy a Box of Crackers Without Being Subjected to Government Rhetoric Anymore

The federal government is supposed to play a limited role in our lives. More and more, I find that just not to be the case. In fact, it's not hard to see where the federal government has overstepped its bounds. Take for instance this box of Ritz Crackers, which on the side of the box has an invite to another government Web site (mypyramid.gov). Mypyramid.gov is a government funded Web site developed by the Department of Agriculture to "help" you make better choices in what you eat. Yes, even a box of snack crackers is pushing this government rhetoric.

If this doesn't prove the federal government is getting too big from what our Founding Fathers envisioned, I don't know what else to say to convince you. After all, it was King George's rhetoric on sugar and rum that led to a revolution.
