Let the fireworks began. A child has made Bungalow Bill's Wacky Liberal of the Year rankings. Let me explain why. The federal government is out of control--growing bigger and more powerful every day. Nothing in 2010 is a bigger reminder of that than Obamacare.
There is this truth about liberalism. Arguments are more likely to be emotional appeals than based on logic or any type of ethos. Marcelas Owens was the final pathos based argument for Obamacare, and he was celebrated by the liberals in Washington as Obama signed legislation forcing the American people to do something against their own free will--purchase healthcare insurance.
You see, it was little Marcelas who argued his mother would still be alive today if only Obama had been President sooner so the the healthcare bill would have come to fruition sooner. That's right, if only the federal government had acted sooner, they would have saved Marcelas's mom from the Grim Reaper. It's this kind of thinking--believing the federal government is the one-stop solution--that is driving modern day liberalism. Nope today's liberals aren't the classic liberals that were our founding fathers, and when you really think about it the modern version of the liberal is really an oxymoron and has little to do with LIBerty.
