Bye Bye Russ Carnahan: Census Causes Missouri to Lose a Congressional Seat

Missouri is losing a seat and Congress and an electoral vote. This year's Census has determined that Missouri's population compared to other states has dropped enough to where it will cost Missouri a seat in Congress. This means the Carnahan political dynasty, which took a huge hit when Robin Carnahan was easily defeated for the United States Senate, will probably take another hit when it comes to Russ Carnahan's district. His district will be a target for the chopping block.

Missouri's Republican legislature will redraw the districts, and since Ike Skelton was sent to retirement by voters, it appears Carnahan will likely be the victim of the Census, so perhaps something good came out of this year's Big Brother census that was controversial in how it was conducted.
