Rand Paul Pushes for Half Trillion in Instant Spending Cuts

Rand Paul has come to town seriously fed up with big government and spending. He is proposing an instant half trillion in federal budget cuts. He spoke with Wolf Blizter about it on CNN, and what was Blitzer's worries? His worries was about all the government workers losing their jobs.

Paul's response was brilliant. We can't sustain this level of debt, and Blitzer continues to make Paul out to be the bad guy despite the fact taxpayers can't afford all these government workers. Did these government workers have government jobs two years ago before Obama began hiring? Probably not.

I think Paul could go a little further as you see entitlement spending isn't cut and a minimal swipe at military spending is proposed, but for the most part, it's not a bad start. It sure beats the House Republicans who are bragging about only $100 billion in savings.
