The Okhotsk Sea Crisis: How Could This Be Happening With Global Warming

All we hear anymore from climate change loonies is how the ice in the Arctic continues to disappear. Tell that the crews of the ships involved in the Okhotsk Sea Crisis. Apparently, someone believed the global warming idiots that ice was disappearing from the Arctic and then got a rude awakening.

The Bereg Nadezhdy fish carrier was the first ship to become trapped in the ice. It's rescue depended on the icebreaker the Admiral Makarov. Guess what, the icebreaker got stuck too in all the ice that is no longer supposed to be there, let alone thick enough these days to entrap an icebreaker type rescue ship.

The Krasin is the next icebreaker sent to the region in hopes of saving the two trapped ships. This is very dangerous territory in which ships get trapped like dominoes into the ice--ice that is supposedly disappearing. Apparently, for the icebreakers to get stuck, the ice has to form very quickly, and we are talking saltwater, which is no easy feat. Just watch Ice Road Truckers. If you think those guys are nervous on the lakes, the ante goes up when they drive over frozen seas because it takes so much more to freeze the sea.
