Eden Cave and Eden Falls in Ponca, Arkansas: Lost Valley Makes An Easy Hike for a Beautiful Site

I ended my day of hiking in Arkansas yesterday with a trip to the Lost Valley area of the Buffalo National River. Lost Valley features an amazing waterfall that is as spectacular as Hemmed in Hollow without the strenuous hike. You are required to hike about a mile to get to the falls, but it's a fairly low impact hike with one considerable climb, which the National Park service has made easier using rocks laid out as steps.

Eden Falls is sourced from a cave directly above the falls. You will see the hike up the falls progress in the videos until Kayleigh, my Labrador Retriever, and I enter the cave. The National Park service is currently working to make the trails more accessible for more people (the joy of stimulus money no doubt), and part of the trail to the Natural Arch and falls was roped off for construction. Luckily, I met the park rangers working on the trails and they encouraged me to go into the area after they were done working.

Here's videos and pictures of the hike into the Lost Valley, which is located just a couple miles outside of Ponca, Arkansas.
