Hot Diggity Dawg, Sheriff Arnott, You Did Say There Would Be Other Investigations

Sheriff Jim Arnott
One of the most beautiful and most alarming parts of the Internet is the fact that nothing really goes away. Take for instance some words Sheriff Jim Arnott gave to KSPR during an interview regarding the Billy Long uses the FBI to silence political critic story. Busplunge's Jim Lee has pointed out words that Arnott used during the interview with KSPR were later removed only to be reprinted on a huge Washington DC political Web site called The Hill.

Lee cites the story on the Hill using the words "worrisome to Long" to expose some words that were removed from the KSPR story. Were these words removed at Sheriff Arnott's request?

But according to Sheriff Arnott, Bowler might not be the only person who’ll have a chance to talk to a G-Man about Long. Arnott told KSPR that Long identified several other people as potential threats.

Since then Arnott changed his story and claims that Bowler was the only one under investigation. Could it be that Billy Long gave his political enemies list to Sheriff Arnott and the FBI, but after this story went national and made the rounds on conservative talk radio shows like Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and Michael Savage, Billy Long and Sheriff Arnott went into retreat mode denying any other names were given to law enforcement? It sure appears that way, and it looks like Sheriff Arnott may be the patsy who will take the fall for Congressman Long. I wonder if he thought he was going to get something good in return for doing the Congressman's dirty work--you know a political favor gone bad. After all, Arnott told Nick Read on KSGF last Friday he never saw the attention coming, which tells me they thought I would just shut and go away if the FBI showed up at my door.

Sheriff Arnott has lost any credibility he had with me prior to this experience. Residents of Greene County, take not as how Arnott has changed his story.
