If you want to surf the Internet, the day may soon come where the federal government may force you to take a number, a digital identification card, just to log in. The Obama administration through cyber security is planning a new ID system that will help the federal government track you on the Internet in the name of national cyber security.
“We are not talking about a national ID card. We are not talking about a government-controlled system. What we are talking about is enhancing online security and privacy, and reducing and perhaps even eliminating the need to memorize a dozen passwords, through creation and use of more trusted digital identities,” Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said Friday.
Notice how they cover up the truth with words like you won't have to remember your passwords anymore because the government has a plan. They are talking about a national ID. How else can you explain a system that identifies you to Web sites with the criteria of that identification created by your federal government?
