I have watched Michelle Obama's campaign against obesity as she stuffs ice cream cones and hamburgers down her face. I don't know if you have noticed, but Michelle has a big caboose herself, but yesterday, all the signs of hypocrisy couldn't stop Michelle from cheering Barry on as he signed new child nutrition laws that gives the federal government more authority over what you feed your children, and all along the line there has been a familiar talking point that angers me.
Child obesity is a threat to national security. While I believe federal involvement in education is a greater threat, it does appear all this ties in. I think Dennis Kilcoyne on Lew Rockwell says it best:
Michelle Obama’s latest bloviation is to declare that childhood obesity is a “national security threat.” Makes it tougher for the Pentagon to turn them into killers, don’tcha know. Perhaps it’s time to declare a Global War on Fat (GWOF). Then we can raise up a Department of Waistline Security.
Right on Dennis, right on. While education quality continues to drop in quality in America, I am sure Dennis will agree with me, the they also want dolts in uniform that don't question the orders of their superiors and the morality of the orders.
