I hiked four miles today in the center and covered all the trails. There are some quarter-mile trails and the Long Trail which they claim is two miles long and which you can access all the other trails from.
The Springfield Nature Center is full of wildlife. I got within just a few feet of many deer, tried to get some closeups of some wild turkey that were well protected just off the river on some thick forest, and there is a water foul sanctuary as well on location.
The trails are made up of pavement, lose gravel, large rocks that are planted firmly, dirt, and some boardwalks. The climbs are quick and don't provide much challenge so it's a perfect place to spend some time with your family.
