Republican Blake Farenthold Begins Bowing Down to the GOP Establishment

It sounds like new Congressman Blake Farenthold whose campaign promised a changing for the rules is now accepting the Republican establishment. Farenthold, a self-proclaimed Tea Party candidate, quickly forgot those Tea Party principles as he has been a champion for Janet Napolitano's police state, supporting both the Patriot Act and co-sponsoring the "If You See Something Say Something Act of 2011."

I am quickly disappointed yet again in another Tea Party candidate who quickly gave up on Tea Party change and settled for the establishment's ways. Check out how quickly Farenthold gave up his fight against Washington DC. From Caller.com:

After a month in Washington, U.S. Rep. Blake Farenthold, who campaigned as a rule-changer, said he only now is learning how the game is played.

"I think what has happened to me is the revelation that the House of Representatives, even with its new majority, is one-half of one-third of the U.S. government, and I'm one of 435 members of that House," he said in an interview last week, his first full workweek in Texas' District 27 since taking office Jan. 5.

"You go in with big plans and ideas and you quickly learn you have to sway a lot of people to your point of view to make it happen."

So what Blake is saying is geez going against the Washington establishment is hard and leaves me out of breath, so I have decided to eat more of those Potomac Twinkies with other Washington fat cats. It's really sad to watch, isn't it? Perhaps living it up at lingerie parties is a better fit for Congressman Farenthold.
