Representative Christopher Lee Resigns His Seat in Congress Over Craigslist Personal Ad

It hasn't been a good day for the GOP, getting hit from all sides by the Tea Party over their support of the Patriot Act, there's been a couple sex scandals break. John Boehner's has been brewing for a few months now, but Christopher Lee (R-NY) suddenly resigned his seat in Congress over a Craigslist ad, with pictures of him flexing his muscles and advertised himself as an available lobbyist. Good grief!

According to Gawker, the now ex-congressman used Craiglist’s “Women Seeking Men” forum to advertise himself as a divorced “lobbyist” and “fit fun classy guy.”

On Friday, Jan. 14, Lee reportedly sent images of himself to a supposedly single 34-year-old woman looking a “financially & emotionally secure” man. After exchanged flirtatious emails, Lee forwarded a topless photo of himself posing with flexing muscles.

When the woman searched online for Christopher Lee, she realized the congressman had lied about his age and occupation. She then forwarded her correspondence to Gawker.

Obviously, members of the GOP haven't learned the lessons from 2006, in which a sex scandal was the final straw that put Democrats back in power. Mark Foley ring a bell House members?
