Mr. Long,
My concerns over your need to be a Congressman were once again confirmed this past week. You like your clever sound bites like your pocket Constitution "is rode hard and put up wet" and yet you continue attacking the very Constitution you took an oath to uphold. How could you vote for the Patriot Act if your truly read your Constitution and understand the limits of government our founding fathers established? Our founding fathers didn't want the federal government meddling in the affairs and spying on private citizens, but of course I wouldn't expect you and your office to realize that, especially after your attack on that other bothersome for you First Amendment. You know those bloggers are quite dangerous sitting behind their keyboards challenging you and your words and analyzing the contradictions of your actions.
If you truly believe and support the Constitution and limited power of the federal government, you will admit the wrong of your vote last week in Congress, which was a vote to finish killing off the Fourth Amendment, and vote against the Patriot Act when that career politician John Boehner calls it for a vote to the floor.
You claimed you were "Tea Party before Tea Party was cool." You honestly showed yet again, you don't have the first clue what it means to be Tea Party. However, you can start to learn if you look into the immense and unconstitutional power the Patriot Act gives the federal government--like warrant-less wiretaps. Do you really believe James Madison would approve of your vote?
