Barack Obama wants to spend $18 billion (allocated through the stimulus money the Republicans in the House should have already voted to stop but haven't) to ensure 98 percent of the country is connected to the Internet through smart phones and tablet computers like the iPad. Can't you see it next year? Instead of Hope and Change we get Hope for an Apple iPad as Obama's campaign theme.
The Washington Post reports:
Speaking at Northern Michigan University, Obama unveiled an ambitious blueprint to use $18 billion in federal funds to get 98 percent of the nation connected to the Internet on smartphones and tablet computers in five years.
Of course, he's also pushing for power to instantly kill the Internet with a flick of the switch. Go figure.
Guess who will be the first in line waiting for her promised iPad and iPhone. Probably the free Obama money woman from Detroit. Remember her?
Or possibly Peggy Joseph?
