Mandated Dog Insurance in Texas?

You know Texas has always been a great symbol of freedom, but occasionally there are things that go on in Texas that leaves me scratching my head. For instance Governor Rick Perry forcing young women to be vaccinated with the controversial cervical cancer vaccine--remember he's a Democrat who became a Republican.

Now there is another Democrat that doesn't understand the spirit of Texas. State Rep. Ruth Jones McClendon (D-San Antonio) has introduced legislation that mandates dog owners to buy doggy insurance. That's right, she fears that male dogs who haven't been nurtured and over 20 pounds are a threat to society. Seriously? Yes, Seriously.

What's driving this? Well her neighbor was attacked by a dog so she feels it's her responsibility to police dogs now. Beware of those giant Poodles with their testicles attached. They must be dangerous according to McClendon.
