Happy Hour: Billy Long Ignores Doctor's Orders to Attend a Washington Fund Raiser

Billy "I'm not a career politician" Long proclaimed during the Republican primary, too many politicians in Washington DC spend too much time worried about getting reelected. That was Billy Long the "fed up" candidate. Now he is Billy Long, the voting against the Constitution for the Republican establishment Congressman, and look how things have changed.

On Friday night, Congressman Long shared with the Springfield News-Leader that he broke his foot on the campaign trail. At a Juvenile Diabetes function in Springfield, Long told the News-Leader about the doctor's orders, "They won't let me drive in this boot, and they won't let me fly."

Oh, but Billy Long is now one of those politician worried about getting reelected, so he wasn't about to miss his flight to Washington this week despite doctor's orders because there was campaign money to raise. For it was Happy Hour today at 5:00 for Billy Long and donors were waiting to sign checks. He wasn't about to let the doctor hold him back from working on his reelection bid, especially for that $2,000 special interest PAC money that is coming from outside the seventh district.
