Top Federal Service Union Boss Calls Those Who Want to Cut Spending "Mentally Retarded"

With $14 trillion in federal debt and obligations that total over $100 trillion, like Social Security, one would think anybody proposing we spend more money would be "mentally retarded." That is unless you are a union boss of a federal service union, in that case, keep begging for more pensions that continue to bury our great Republic.

The president of the American Federation of Government Employees doesn't see the more than $100 trillion of unfunded liabilities a problem. In fact, he thinks the government should keep promising money it doesn't have and has gone on record calling anyone who supports federal spending cuts "mentally retarded." (I am not going to let him talk to you like that Congressman Long.)

When asked about spending cuts for federal jobs, John Gage said, "When people say, well, we just have to pay less in wages, whether it’s private sector or public sector, I think they’re mentally retarded to say something like that."
