Congressman Billy Long Votes Yes to Extend Patriot Act: Billy Long Insults Constitution Again

Congressman Billy Long pandered to the Tea Parties claiming to be a Washington outsider. Once again, Billy Long showed how out of touch he is with the Tea Party movement and the United States Constitution.

Yesterday, the Republican led House of Representatives voted to extend the Patriot Act. There were 277 yea votes. In theory, the Patriot Act should be extended, but do to some procedural rules the bill required 2/3 majority vote to be permanently extended.

\According to the Congress Android Ap, Billy Long, the Missouri 7 Congressman casted a YEA vote on the motion to suspend the rules and pass HR 514 to extend expiring provisions of the USA Patriot Improvement and Reauthorization Act of 2005 and Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 relating to access of business records, individual terrorists as agents of foreign powers, and roving wiretaps until December 8, 2011.

Billy Long once told the mainstream media his pocket Constitution is "rode hard and put up wet." However, Billy Long doesn't have the common sense to realize the Patriot Act attacks the Fourth Amendment and due process laws the Constitution provides. Perhaps, what Long really means is he uses his pocket Constitution as toilet paper when he's riding horses with his little doggy on the back.

Got my dog, my gun, and my pocket Constitution in
case of emergencies.
For the record Mr. Long, since it's obvious based on your vote you don't know Jack about the Constitution, the Fourth Amendment reads:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Of course, we know how you already abuse your federal power to pursue your political enemies, don't we Mr. Long.
