John 3:16 Banned from the Super Bowl

I understand commercials that contain too much skin and sex getting banned from the Super Bowl. I get it. Kids watch the Super Bowl and after the great Janet Jackson exposed breast incident, they have been very careful not to over sexualize the game even though they give Go Daddy a pass. Here's one commercial I don't understand why it is being banned from the game? Who is it offending?

It doesn't make anyone look up John 3:16. It doesn't force religion on anyone. It makes anyone curious to why they see John 3:16 at many sporting events the next step, look it up.

Fox banned the commercial because it advances a particular belief. Well isn't that what commercials are supposed to do?

Pepsi is better than Coke. Budweiser is better than Coors. Victoria's Secret is better than granny panties. And Heaven is definitely better than hell. What has this commercial done that other commercials haven't based on the reason Fox banned the commercial. All commercials attempt to advance a particular set of beliefs (opinions) and based on Fox's decision, Sunday's game should be void of any advertisements.
