Up until recently, NASA held a huge monopoly on space exploration. Even today, there are federal limits of private corporations going into space. Consider that as the federal government announces perchlorate, a chemical found in rocket fuel, has contaminated water supplies in 26 states.
The federal government, without any Constitutional authority, is getting ready to put tougher regulations on your local water supply, and they are justifying more government noting perchlorate has contaminated water in over half the states. While it's no surprise based on what I have read that water supplies across the United States have traces of dangerous chemicals, one has to ask why is so much perchlorate found in the water?
Consider NASA's exclusive rights to space for fifty years, isn't it hypocritical the same EPA that wants to penalize American corporations for producing too much carbon appears to be overlooking the amount of pollution the United States government produces? Perhaps the US government should consider cleaning up their own act before pushing regulations on American corporations that will kill jobs and drive up costs.
