Billy Long Tweets Second Approval of Shock Journalism in a Week: Second Planned Parenthood Video Surfaces

Billy Long tweets for second time his approval for shock journalism. Hard to believe it was just last month when Congressman Billy Long's office trumped up charges against a blogger while local talk radio personalities like KWTO's Brian Calfano came to Long's defense calling describing the blogger's efforts as shock journalism, designed to embarrass Congressman Long. While I am no advocate for Planned Parenthood, I ask why my efforts deserved a visit from the FBI while Long continues to advocate other social media journalists who operate under similar procedures. Long retweets for the second time celebrating the efforts to embarrass Planned Parenthood.

Isn't the manner in which these videos Long celebrates also a perceived threat based on past actions of Long's office. Perhaps Long's office should call the FBI too and complain about those who shot the videos that expose the evils of Planned Parenthood. Look, like I said earlier this week, Long appears to like the techniques used against him in the campaign to expose him as a weak, hypocritical candidate as long as those techniques aren't used against Congressman Long. Use them on Planned Parenthood and you are doing the country a great service, but use them against Congressman Long and that needs the FBI's attention. As you will see from my earlier post, I am not defending Planned Parenthood, as the root of their evil is based on racism and the practice of eugenics. I just think this shows that Long is a hypocrite who abused his federal power in an attack on the First Amendment.

Congressman Billy Long is showing his hypocritical side again today. It appears Long approves of what some consider shock journalism as long as the cards aren't played against him. Long retweeted an instance where the new journalism of social media exposed the evil Planned Parenthood corporation. As you know, this blog is no friend of Planned Parenthood, and I remind you Planned Parenthood was founded in the racist beliefs of Margaret Sanger and her belief that eugenics was the best way to control black populations in America.

A story that sounds familiar to the James O'Keefe/ACORN story has surfaced about Planned Parenthood in recent days. Using a hidden camera, investigators infiltrated Planned Parenthood and discovered they were pushing young girls to get abortions without parental knowledge while the girls were claiming the father was twice as old as the young 13 year old girls. As well, hidden videos exposed that Planned Parenthood was willing to offer advice to a pimp on how to carry out underage sex trafficking. None of this is surprising based on what we saw with the O'Keefe videos.

Oh, but wait a minute. This story isn't entirely about the disgrace that is Planned Parenthood and their crimes against young women and their families. This is also about Congressman Billy Long, who himself had to deal with cameras that weren't so hidden this past year from voters and bloggers coming to his public appearances asking Long tough questions.



Why is it Long approves of the way Planned Parenthood was investigated but when it comes to any reporting of the Long campaign during this past year's election, Long trumped up the incidents, abused his federal powers, and had the FBI visit a blogger's house. So I guess in Billy Long's world it's okay for some people to play gotcha journalism but not others, especially others that work to expose that Long is no conservative nor is he tea party.

Personally, I have no problem with people using the same technology the government uses on us, like digital cameras, to expose corruption and hypocrisy. So, I too celebrate these videos as I point out the hypocrite that Billy Long and his staff members are as they raise awareness to the Planned Parenthood corruption while using the FBI to intimidate when the same tactics are used to expose Congressman Long.
